We are connecting, improving, and advancing the underserved in Portsmouth, VA.

2023 has been a busy year – myself, the board of directors, the staff, and volunteers love every minute of it.

 

We are steadfast in trusting that God will continue to cover us as we serve the underserved community of Portsmouth, VA.  A community infested by homelessness, drugs, and prostitution.  A community with low-performing schools as well as with hope.

 

Each week we serve hundreds in our Food Pantry and Community Clothes Clothes Program.   In 2022 we entered into a partnership with Hampton Roads Community Action Program.  This partnership will allow us to open our doors to 36 children ages 2-5 eager to learn and prepare for kindergarten via our Free Head Start Program.

 

We have to rehab a section of our building to welcome the children.  These tasks include:

1. A new roof

2. Electrical Rewriting

3. New ADA Restrooms

4. Safety Lighting

5. New Flooring

 

We received funding from the City of Portsmouth, Hampton Roads Community Foundation, and many supporters.
